Grocery Clerk

Job Summary We're looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our retail team. In this role, you'll be the go-to person for helping customers find what they need, maintaining store organization, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products throughout the store Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately Stock shelves and organize displays to keep the store looking inviting and tidy Conduct product demos when needed to highlight new or popular items Handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment with proper cash handling procedures Maintain knowledge of store products to upsell items and promote special deals Ensure proper merchandising standards are followed to attract customer attention Skills Experience with POS systems and cash handling is highly desirable Supervising experience in retail or grocery settings is a plus Strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers and team members Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for retail math calculations Bilingual abilities are beneficial for serving diverse customer bases Knowledge of grocery store operations, including stocking, merchandising, and product demos Excellent phone etiquette for assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries Join us as a Grocery Clerk and be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-notch service while growing your retail skills!
