Job Description

Position Overview The Warehouse Receiver provides support to warehouse by facilitating an efficient and organized flow of product into and out of the warehouse, with a focus on receiving and storing materials from suppliers. This position unloads trucks using a stand-up forklift, verifying weight, quantity, batch/lot numbers, and registers receipt of these items into the company's ERP system.
Essential Job Functions:
Reviews weekly receiving schedule to ensure organization and preparedness for incoming loads from vendors and suppliers Greets drivers and facilitates unloading, taking steps to ensure food safety such as verifying seal number Utilizing a stand-up forklift, unloads truck and stages pallets in dock area for counting/verification Verifies information on the BOL to ensure quantity and weight of materials received is accurate Calculates and logs product expiration date utilizing information on the COA Identifies and utilizes various numbers to identify materials, such as Purchase Order Number, Part Number, Lot/Batch Numbers Utilizes ERP and scanning software to look up and assign identifying numbers for materials Adds materials to the company's ERP, inventory database Prints labels; labels pallets with identifying numbers Utilizing a stand-up forklift, stores items received in the warehouse, taking allergen considerations into account Properly follows scan gun procedure, valuing quality of work over quantity, to transfer virtual location of materials Runs daily reports to ensure correct storage of allergens Scans, labels, and saves BOLs to the company server
Additional Responsibilities:
Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner Attends all team and Warehouse communication meetings Participates in quarterly physical inventory or as needed Ensures the condition of the work areas are in order and in compliance with company policies & applicable health and safety codes Maintains a basic knowledge of all products carried in the warehouse Performs work in a fast-paced environment and effectively responds to changing production schedules Effectively communicates with other departments/cross-functional teams Responsible for maintaining a food safe work environment and in the event it is perceived that it is compromised, action is to be taken which includes stopping the process and notifying the supervisor, assistant supervisor, or lead on duty Assisting warehouse associates with stocking, selection, pallet consolidation, and unloading trucks as needed Flexible to work in other facilities/locations as needed Other duties as assigned Experience, Skills, Knowledge & Education 1 Year Warehouse Receiving Experience required Intermediate computer skills, including 3-5 years' experience working with Microsoft Outlook and running reports 3-5 years' experience using scanner software, printing labels, scanning 3-5 years' experience on a Stand-Up Forklift Experience working with BOLs (Bill of Lading) Experience working in a warehouse where allergens are present

Familiar with and able to read a COA (Certificate of Analysis) High school diploma or GED required A close attention to detail - accuracy is a MUST Excellent communication skills and a "Teamwork" attitude Work Environment Able to work 8 hours shifts in a mostly fixed schedule, yet flexible to work nights and/or weekends as required Able to stand for extended periods of time (8 hours per day) Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment Use of electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other heavy machinery Use of box cutters Able to lift up to 50 lbs and capable of lifting 20 lbs on a repeated basis throughout the day Frequent bending, stooping and climbing Able to work in varying temperatures Comfortable with a moderate noise level Able to work in an environment with peanuts and tree nuts
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
