GENERAL SUMMARY
The Outlet Lead will facilitate staff, the receipt of incoming product, as well as sorting and processing merchandise for distribution to sales bins. Responsibilities include maintain the safety, cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and surrounding areas, including but not limited to, sorting areas, storage areas and grounds, while establishing and assuring compliance with St. Matthew's House policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL TASKS
Coordinate daily and as needed with SMH Warehouse Managers, Dispatch, Fleet Manager and Senior Lead/Lead Drivers to assure safe and efficient coordination of salvage center operations. Maintain communication with store personnel to assure sufficient inventory levels, allowing storefront to meet or exceed budgeted sales. Execute daily workflows and objectives by coordinating efforts between SMH and 3rd Party stakeholders including waste management and salvage companies. Lead team members in organizing and accomplishing daily tasks and assigned projects. Estimate staffing needs, assign work, recommend candidates for employment, make recommendations for termination as needed to the Outlet Manager. Anticipate and prepare for seasonal and occasional changes in storage needs. Assure organized and efficient use of dumpsters, bins, gaylords, tri-walls and allocated space for storage and processing. Instruct and discern new staff, drivers, and helpers in proper, safe, and efficient procedures. Report documentations of violations of, and corrective actions toward, policies and other deficiencies, clearly and consistently to the Outlet Manager. Assist Outlet Manager in developing, implementing and maintaining industry leading practices in processing donated merchandise and reduce waste of valuable assets. Produce consistent and coherent reports for Outlet Manager, formally or informally, as needed. Demonstrate strong communication skills as well as lead, govern, guide team. Closely train and monitor all staff; providing monthly progress reports to Outlet Manager. Must be able to perform and train team on all job functions required of all positions which are accountable to the Outlet Manager. Responsible for the opening and closing of the store daily. Oversees cash register operation, reconciliation, records, and banking. Track the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual objectives. Assist in evaluating employee performance and identifying hiring and training needs.. Assist in monitoring operating costs, budgets and resources. Assist the leadership team with the implementation of policies and procedures. Provide feedback to the leadership team of cashier team member performance.
Requirements:
Education:
High School diploma or higher. Relevant certifications are a plus; such as heavy equipment operating, proper moving/lifting, warehouse safety, etc.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years warehousing experience, moving and customer service/retail store experience essential.

Mental/Visual Demands :
Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.
Physical Demands:
This position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods. The employee is required to handle, feel and/or reach with hands and arms and must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance. Must have stamina to perform manual duties that often require strength.
Working Conditions:
Warehouses and surrounding storage and operational spaces. Ability to work in different weather conditions and non-air conditioned areas is required. Must have ability to work a flexible schedule.
