The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing parts, materials, and supplies used in boat manufacturing operations. This position ensures production teams have timely access to inventory while maintaining accurate stock records and supporting efficient material flow throughout the facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and shipping documents. Store inventory in designated stockroom locations using established inventory control procedures. Pick, stage, and issue materials to production departments based on work orders and production schedules. Maintain accurate inventory transactions within the company's ERP or inventory management system. Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, or obsolete stock. Support production teams by ensuring materials are available when needed to minimize downtime. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment. Operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts in accordance with company safety procedures. Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations. Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous stockroom, warehouse, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Ability to read and understand work orders, inventory reports, and shipping documents. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
