Market Operations & Neighbor Support Support daily operations of the market, including stocking shelves, unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, and assisting neighbors during shopping hours Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized market environment Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive, neighbor-centered experience Collaborate with volunteers and staff to ensure smooth daily operations Assist the Operations Lead with ongoing operational needs and special projects Inventory & Food Safety Follow food safety standards and inventory procedures, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices Monitor product quality and promptly remove spoiled or damaged items Receive, unload, and properly store incoming deliveries Maintain accurate inventory records and document stock movement as required Complete ServSafe training and certification Administrative & Reporting Accurately document activities using established data collection and reporting systems Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization's mission Schedule Flexibility is required. Evening and weekend work is a regular part of this position.

7:00 AM•1:00 PM Qualifications Required Knowledge of the Newtown community Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment Commitment to serving vulnerable populations and helping end hunger in our community Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends Preferred Resident of or active member of the Newtown community Bilingual in Spanish and/or Creole Experience working in community service, food distribution, retail, customer service, warehouse operations, or nonprofit settings Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds Ability to use material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and carts Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout most of the workday Ability to work in varying weather conditions and occasionally noisy environments Our Mission, Values, Strategic Goals:
