Job Description

Club Car boasts a 60+ year history of industry-leading innovation and design, initially focused on golf cars and then expanding into commercial utility vehicles and personal-use transportation.
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for planning, controlling, and directing the day-to-day activities of the Club Car Evans Assembly Facility Material Flow Team. Areas of responsibility include all tasks associated with assembly line replenishment, material handling, inventory management, red-tag and support.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Oversee all activities related to assembly line materials replenishment, line fill, and red-tag support. Ensure all parts are adequately packed and labeled. Ensure that all stored and presented lineside material is organized and clearly identified. Coordinate the movement and storage of materials. Oversee all activities related to material flow and lineside fulfillment including receiving, picking and delivery of parts to internal point of use. Resolves all aspects of complex customer issues and provides prompt responses to customer questions in a timely manner. Train, coach and monitor the performance of the Material Flow and co- associates. Ensure timely, fair and equitable dealing with associate issues. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the work environment. Communicate continuously with all employees through the use of daily shift meetings, MDI, one-on-one meetings and other communication venues as needed. Deal decisively with difficult and complex circumstances. Lead and participate in productivity savings activities. Maintain good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility. Maintains equipment to accomplish the functional objectives and performance targets while considering cost implications. Assist outside departments with resolving issues or potential issues. Coordinate closely with other groups within Club Car and IR to ensure cohesive interactions to best achieve all IR objectives and meet shareholder expectations. Ensure that adequate supplies are available for each area. Ensure that all activities and associates are in compliance to company and department policies and procedures. Responsible for recommending changes in the organization to include hiring, disciplinary action and termination of associates within the group. Plans manpower needs, interviews, makes hiring recommendations, monitors/evaluates performance, makes salary recommendations, and counsels assigned staff. Trains and develops Associates to ensure they have the necessary skills to exceed expectations. Establishes and reports on performance measurements in accordance with the goals stated in the department. Maintains a safe and productive work environment that is focused on customer quality, efficiency and overall improvement.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred or prior equivalent experience required.
Experience:
5+ years of experience preferred with perpetual inventory systems, warehouse management systems, general accounting principles and MRP and ERP systems highly desired. Demonstrate competence in negotiating skills and assessing vendors. Experience with supervising dynamic material or logistic teams s Candidate must have demonstrated experience coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation and conflict resolution skills. Professional communication; both verbal and written are required.
