Grocery Buyer - Inventory Replenishment

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors through negotiation and sourcing strategies to secure favorable contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules. Monitor supply chain activities including logistics, procurement, production planning, and inventory control to ensure timely stock replenishment. Utilize materials management tools and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to plan procurement activities aligned with merchandising plans. Oversee purchase orders within ERP systems, ensuring accuracy in pricing, quantities, and delivery timelines while maintaining compliance with contractual agreements. Collaborate with merchandising teams to align inventory levels with promotional campaigns and seasonal demand fluctuations. Conduct regular audits of inventory management processes to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience working with ERP systems such as

SAP, SAP ERP, JD

Edwards, Oracle EBS, or similar platforms for materials management and procurement processes. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles including inventory management, logistics, sourcing, and production planning. Demonstrated ability in purchasing negotiations, contract management, and vendor relationship building. Familiarity with inventory control techniques and e-commerce platforms related to grocery retail operations. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and forecast trends accurately. Knowledge of procurement best practices including pricing strategies and contract negotiations. Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments such as merchandising, logistics, and supplier partners.
