Job Description

We are a boutique interior design studio and retail showroom in downtown Annapolis seeking a detail-oriented Project Assistant to support our design team and assist our retail customers. This is a dynamic role blending client-facing retail, design project coordination, and administrative support in a creative, collaborative environment.
RETAIL & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Greet and assist walk-in customers; follow up with prospective design clients Process sales transactions and support retail merchandising and display Maintain accurate pricing tags and labels throughout the showroom Receive and inspect newly arrived inventory; document and file damage claims as needed Coordinate and promote sales events; manage social media posts for promotions Maintain a clean, welcoming showroom including windows, floors, and entryway Available for select evening events (e.g., Midnight Madness)
DESIGN PROJECT SUPPORT
Assist designers with product sourcing, material selections, and sample procurement Prepare client presentation materials including tearsheets and mood boards Support project management: purchasing, order tracking, and vendor claims Pick up and deliver samples, materials, and products to clients and vendors Maintain and organize the physical sample library (fabrics, wallpaper, tile, hardware, etc.) Manage our digital product library : add products, maintain consistent labeling, and audit for errors
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
Return calls and messages promptly; provide daily task updates to leadership File financial and client paperwork; maintain billable hours for client work Track and reorder office supplies and retail packaging as needed Perform weekly and monthly inventory audits and maintain store inventory list
QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in retail, interior design, or a client-facing studio environment preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with digital tools; experience with DesignFiles, Studio Manager or similar platforms a plus Proficiency with accounting software such as Quickbooks is a plus Warm, professional demeanor with excellent follow-through Ability to lift and unpack deliveries up to 50lbs; Must have valid driver's license for local errands

$25.00 per hour
