Job Description

Position Summary:
Our store donor attendants greet and help people who are making a donation, and then do an initial sort of that donation to speed along the processing of those donations. You'll need to provide excellent service to our donors! This is a critical role in our retail stores and is eligible for healthy incentive pay based on the store's performance.
Position Duties:
Greet and assist all donors. Receive and, as appropriate, politely decline donations from teh public in accordance with established guidelines. Provide all donors with access to a receipt in accordance with established guidelines. Identify and sort donations for further processing in accordance with established guidelines. Other duties, as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
Any combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the job.

Excellent listening skills. Ability to work with others collaboratively to achieve a shared goal. Ability to work within established guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires standing and walking and occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, and reaching with hands and arms. Requires frequent lifting and moving of heavy items up to 40 pounds. May be required to stand for entire shift.
MENTAL DEMANDS
Requires energetic, team-oriented individual with a positive "can-do" attitude and an ability to understand, accept and work with people who have disabilities and/or other barriers to employment. Need to be able to identify different materials included in donations.
MACHINES/EQUIPMENT

WORKING CONDITIONS
Mix of donation, production, and retail environments. Usually fast-paced.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and values that reflect the organization's mission and values. Maintain professional standards of performance, demeanor, and appearance at all times. Must be 16 years of age or older. Must be able to work evenings, weekends, extended hours and holidays. Must pass a background check.
