In this role, you will be the go-to person for managing fresh produce, ensuring it's well-stocked, properly packaged, and appealing to customers. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming shopping environment by providing excellent customer service and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the produce section. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about fresh foods and retail sales. Responsibilities Stock and replenish produce displays, ensuring freshness and visual appeal. Wrap and package produce items efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Assist customers with selections, answer questions about produce, and provide friendly service. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely for moving large quantities of stock. Maintain cleanliness of the produce area, including cleaning shelves, bins, and tools. Support shipping & receiving activities by loading/unloading deliveries and verifying shipments. Qualifications Prior warehouse experience or retail grocery store background preferred. Knowledge of inventory control systems and retail math to manage stock levels effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and operate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts safely. Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Excellent organizational skills to keep the produce section tidy and well-stocked. Experience with merchandising, packaging, and retail sales techniques is beneficial. Good customer service skills with a positive attitude to enhance shopper experience.
