JOB SUMMARY

Prepare all hot and cold foods for Jack Binion's Steakhouse.

HOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY

Prepare meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, and other food items. Prepare food items per standardized recipes or supervisor's guidelines Set-up and maintain work station. Maintain walk-in coolers in a good sanitary condition. Assist in other areas of kitchen as directed by Sous Chef. Maintain a high degree of sanitation in work station. Direct and train all Cooks

II. WHAT YOU WILL NEED

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Restaurant experience preferred. Minimum 1 year work experience in a restaurant, either front of house or back of house Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Employee Dining Room. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area. Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
