Dairy Supervisor

Main responsibilities:

Assist the Grocery Manager in the daily operation of the Dairy Department, including supervision and training of associates Ensure dairy products are properly ordered, received, stocked, rotated, and merchandised to company standards Maintain product quality by monitoring expiration dates, removing spoilage, and keeping shelves clean and organized Deliver excellent customer service by engaging customers in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner Support inventory control, backroom organization, and department standards including displays and seasonal items Train and coach associates on dairy stocking, conditioning, safety, and company procedures Monitor cooler and case temperatures to ensure food safety and quality standards are met Assist with department merchandising, special promotions, and reclaim processes as needed We are looking for candidates who possess the following: Soft skills : Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor Clear communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment Dependability, professionalism, and a positive attitude Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced retail environment

Competencies :

Supervisory and coaching skills for training and guiding department associates Inventory management and ordering experience using handheld or store systems Merchandising and product rotation to meet company and food safety standards Basic math and problem-solving skills related to retail operations

Knowledge :

Knowledge of dairy products, pricing, and store layout Understanding of food safety, quality standards, and proper product handling Familiarity with customer service procedures and retail best practices

Abilities :

Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods Ability to operate store equipment such as balers and electrical equipment safely Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions Other requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to work in cold environments including coolers and freezers Flexibility to assist in other grocery departments and perform cashier duties as needed Ability to comply with company policies, safety procedures, and dress code standards We also provide a variety of benefits including: Competitive wages paid weekly Associate discounts Health and financial well-being benefits for eligible associates (Medical, Dental, 401k and more!)
