In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily produce operations, ensuring the freshest quality, accurate inventory management, and exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive team performance, maintain a well-organized produce department, and support overall store success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about fresh food, retail sales, and team development to make a meaningful impact every day. Duties Lead and motivate the produce team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and freshness Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels using RF scanners and warehouse management systems Oversee receiving shipments, unloading trucks with pallet jacks and forklifts, and ensuring proper storage of produce items Maintain product quality through regular inspections, proper packaging, rotation, and adherence to safety standards Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, creating attractive displays, and implementing promotional plans Support shipping & receiving processes to ensure timely restocking and order fulfillment Provide training on equipment operation such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners while promoting safety protocols Handle customer inquiries with excellent communication skills, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive shopping experience Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of the produce area to uphold health standards and store policies Qualifications Previous Produce experience required Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and stock control Ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting safely Experience operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners is highly desirable Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently Knowledge of grocery store operations including merchandising, stocking, shipping & receiving, and cashiering is advantageous Demonstrated ability to lead a team with strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving Join us as a Produce Team Lead where your enthusiasm for fresh food meets your leadership talents!
