Job Description
About the Role Beer Universe is seeking a hardworking and dependable Beer Merchandiser / Stock Associate to join our team. This is a physically demanding position focused on stocking, merchandising, cooler maintenance, inventory organization, and recycling operations. The successful candidate will spend the majority of their time working in the back of the store, receiving and organizing stock, filling coolers, replenishing shelves, and maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our stockroom and recycling center. Key Responsibilities Receive, organize, and put away incoming deliveries. Stock and merchandise beer, beverages, and related products throughout the store. Fill and maintain walk-in coolers and refrigerated displays. Replenish shelves and ensure products are properly rotated and front-faced. Handle and process customer recycling returns efficiently and professionally. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the stockroom, warehouse areas, and recycling center. Break down deliveries, organize pallets, and manage backstock inventory. Assist with inventory counts and stock management. Ensure all products are displayed according to company merchandising standards. Report low stock, damaged products, or inventory discrepancies to management. Physical Requirements Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 70 lbs (32 kg). Must be comfortable handling 1,000+ cases of product per week. Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift. Comfortable working in coolers, stockrooms, and warehouse environments. Requirements Previous beer merchandising, beverage merchandising, or beverage distribution experience is required. Reliable transportation to and from work. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Forklift or warehouse experience is an asset but not required. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping shelves full, coolers stocked, stockrooms organized, and recycling areas clean. This is not a desk job and is not a customer-service-focused position. We need someone who enjoys physical work, can work independently, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked store.
