Full Job Description Kitchen Stock & Inventory Assistant Schedule:
Full-Time | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and organized Kitchen Stock & Inventory Assistant to join our Dietary team. This role is responsible for maintaining proper inventory levels, stocking kitchen supplies, and ensuring food and non-food items are stored safely and efficiently. The Kitchen Stock & Inventory Assistant plays a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by ensuring staff have the supplies and ingredients they need to prepare meals for residents. Key Responsibilities Receive and organize food and supply deliveries Stock and rotate food items in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage areas (following FIFO guidelines) Maintain clean and organized storage areas Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies are running low Transport food and supplies throughout the kitchen as needed Assist with putting away orders and breaking down boxes Ensure proper labeling and dating of food items Follow all sanitation, food safety, and infection control procedures Dispose of trash and cardboard and maintain a clean stock area Assist dietary staff with other support tasks as needed Qualifications No prior experience required; training will be provided Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to follow directions and work independently Dependable with strong attendance Ability to lift and carry up to 40-50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in food service, stocking, or warehouse work Knowledge of basic food safety practices Familiarity with inventory organization or storage systems Work Environment Commercial kitchen environment Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required May work in refrigerators and freezers Day shift schedule (10 AM - 6 PM)
