Produce Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the quality and freshness of our produce section while providing excellent customer service. The Produce Clerk will work closely with other team members to ensure that all produce is well-stocked, organized, and presented attractively to customers. Duties Manage inventory levels for the produce section, ensuring fresh products are always available. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to load and unload produce deliveries. Assist with stocking shelves, packaging products, and maintaining cleanliness in the produce area. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries about produce items. Perform regular maintenance checks on produce displays to ensure quality presentation. Handle shipping and receiving of produce shipments efficiently. Conduct cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary work environment in compliance with health standards. Engage in retail math practices to manage pricing and promotions effectively. Experience Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred. Familiarity with inventory management systems and practices is advantageous. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing stock levels. Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective customer interactions. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are beneficial for serving a diverse customer base. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in stocking and maintaining the produce section.
