POSITION SUMMARY
The Donation Lead is responsible for overseeing donation intake operations and ensuring professional, service-oriented donor experience. This position supports the efficient receipt of donated goods, maintains an orderly receiving area, and upholds service standards consistent with the mission and operational objectives of 2nd Chances Thrift Stores.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides prompt, courteous assistance to donors, including receiving donated items, unloading donations, and issuing receipts as appropriate. Coordinates day-to-day donation receiving activities and maintains a clean, safe, and organized donation intake and receiving area. Communicates approved organizational messaging to donors, including information related to 2nd Chances and associated programs, to support donor engagement and retention. Complies with organizational policies, standard operating procedures, required training, and departmental expectations; participates in meetings and other assigned activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrates strong customer service, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and attention to detail. Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and effective time management. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and support the mission of 2nd Chances Thrift Stores.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and regular use of the hands to sort, clean, organize, and process donated items in a warehouse environment with periodic outdoor exposure.
VISION REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to judge distances and spatial relationships, distinguish colors, and maintain visual focus as needed to perform assigned duties.
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 30-minute lunch break.
