Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Grocery Stocker and become the backbone of our retail operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining well-stocked, organized, and clean grocery aisles to ensure an exceptional shopping experience for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in inventory management, merchandising, and customer service within a fast-paced retail environment. Duties Stock shelves efficiently by unloading deliveries using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring products are organized and accessible. Manage inventory control by accurately tracking stock levels with RF scanners and maintaining proper product rotation. Assist in receiving shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and properly storing items to prevent spoilage or damage. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards by performing regular store maintenance, cleaning shelves, and ensuring aisles are clear of hazards. Support produce sections by handling fresh items with care, ensuring proper packaging, labeling, and presentation to attract customers. Engage with customers by providing friendly assistance, answering questions about products, and offering product recommendations when needed. Collaborate with team members on merchandising efforts to create appealing displays that promote sales and enhance store aesthetics. Requirements Previous experience in warehouse operations, retail sales, or grocery stores is highly preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory effectively using inventory management systems and retail math principles. Ability to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts (certification preferred), and shipping & receiving tools safely. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, load & unload tasks, and standing for extended periods throughout shifts. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages are a plus; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases. Knowledge of grocery store operations including stocking, merchandising, packaging, shipping & receiving processes. Attention to detail for inventory control accuracy and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
