JOB FUNCTION

Maintain pricing, stocking, and rotating of merchandise in the grocery area.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Observe all store rules and company policies. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations. Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service. Observe shift-operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager. Responsible for performance and supervision of grocery clerks in absence of grocery manager. Possess good interpersonal skills. Read, write, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Reach and stock product up to 6 feet high. Responsible for night crew supervision and performance. Give verbal and written instructions. Pull or push wheeled vehicles weighing up to 1,000 pounds. Operate mechanical price stampers and labelers. Operate pallet jacks. Responsible for housekeeping of department. Perform sweeping and cleaning functions. Assist grocery manager in the training, developing, and evaluating of night stock employees. Maintain proper inventory controls. Monitor all procedures for stocking to ensure quality protection, accuracy, and product rotation on shelves. Operate telephone and intercom. Lift and stock pallets up to 80 pounds Enforce policies and procedures established for department. Follow security procedures established by store director and report any irregularity. Supervise floor maintenance personnel. Monitor refrigeration and report any irregularities. Maintain properly stacked and rotated stockroom. Perform other assignments as requested by management.
