JOB SUMMARY
Following well-defined procedures and with normal supervision: check incoming material against accompanying documents to determine completeness and accuracy; enter transactions into computer system; kit and issue materials for Assembly; fill backorders; use digital weigh-count scale; perform cycle counts and physical inventories as assigned and keep stock and stockroom neat and orderly. Requires basic knowledge of stockroom procedure (MP-1000-021) and Costpoint inventory transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains inventory accuracy through careful counting and transaction processing.
- Counts and verifies incoming materials and assemblies.
- Issues materials and assembly kits as requested by Planning and Assembly.
- Researches and resolves inventory record discrepancies.
- Performs cycle counts and physical inventories and completes cycle count functions in Costpoint.
- Follows company requirements for safety and PPE. Maintains a clean and organized area.
- Uses company van for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
NON ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists other departments when assigned.
- Completes facility clean-up projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
(Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
HS Diploma or GED - 1 year of stockroom exp LEVEL 1:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Job mostly requires basic math skills. Occasional need to calculate percentages.
