We grow and sell real food, show up for our communities, and believe Agriculture is the Culture. Our farmers market team is the face of FarmerJawn — and we take that seriously. The Role We're hiring Farmers Market Associates (we call them Veggie Slingers) for our Philadelphia, PA location. You'll represent FarmerJawn at market, connect with customers, sell produce, and create an experience that makes people want to come back every week. What You'll Do Set up and break down the market booth (tent, tables, signage, display) Receive and organize produce inventory at the start of each shift Greet and engage customers with enthusiasm and product knowledge Accurately handle transactions using our POS system (Square) Explain produce varieties, farming practices, and how to cook/use items Keep the booth clean, stocked, and visually appealing throughout the market Communicate any inventory, customer, or operational issues to the team lead Break down, pack, and return unsold inventory at end of shift
Schedule Market Hours:
Sunday , 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM . Setup begins 8:30 AM and breakdown ends 2:00 PM . Attendance for the full shift is required . Produce & Cold Storage Fresh produce is delivered directly to the market by 8:30am on the morning of each market day. You will receive and organize inventory upon arrival to prepare for the market opening.
