We are a 27-hole facility with pool, 6 tennis courts, a 20,000 square foot clubhouse, and a separate River Club complete with family pool and twin boat docking facilities. This Full-Time Position is employed year-round with 2 weeks of planned closures for Golf Course Maintenance. Position Summary The Assistant Professional/Merchandiser will have significant involvement in managing the merchandise concession. Additionally, the role will be active in the daily operations of the golf shop, including tee sheet supervision, pace of play enforcement, supervision of outside services and staff, tournament execution, member communication, and golf instruction. In the absence of the Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional, this position acts as the manager of the daily golf operation. All responsibilities are carried out with a commitment to exceptional customer service and member satisfaction. Experience Required Experience Required Certified Retail Management (CRM) Qualified (preferred) Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a retail management or customer service role, preferably within a high-end or private club environment. Manage the merchandise concession from buying to receiving and presentation Assist in inventory control alongside the Director of Golf. Create innovative merchandise displays and seek ways to enhance sales through promotions. Maintain a clean, well-organized, and professionally presented golf shop at all times. Monitor and update special orders, ensuring timely arrival and billing to member accounts Maintain accurate filing systems for tickets, special orders, and vendor catalogs Assist the Head Golf Professional with daily golf operations Communicate effectively with members and staff Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak club event days as needed Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests.
