Position Summary The Receiver/Stocker plays a vital role in ensuring our shelves are stocked, our inventory is accurate, and our customers have access to the products they need. This position involves receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory Receive and inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality. Verify shipment quantities against invoices and purchase orders. Unload trucks safely and efficiently. Report damaged, expired, or missing merchandise to management. Organize products in stockrooms, coolers, and freezers. Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. Assist with inventory counts and stock audits. Stocking & Merchandising Stock shelves, displays, coolers, and freezers throughout the store. Ensure products are properly faced, organized, and priced. Monitor shelf inventory and replenish merchandise as needed. Build attractive promotional and seasonal displays. Maintain department presentation standards. Store Operations Keep stockrooms, receiving areas, and sales floors clean and organized. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Assist customers in locating products when needed. Work closely with department managers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations. Support other departments as business needs require. QualificationsPreferred Previous grocery, retail, warehouse, receiving, or stocking experience. Experience operating pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment. Basic knowledge of inventory management practices. Required Reliable transportation and strong attendance record. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods. Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments when necessary. Ability to safely handle merchandise and equipment.
