POSITION SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Tech (Stockroom Clerk) is responsible for inventorying, and stocking incoming parts, supplies and materials for aircraft modification and maintenance. This is an experienced-level position that has no supervisory experience and reports to the Warehouse Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Reviews inventory database for accuracy to ensure stock control relative to the maintenance of minimum and maximum parts and supplies in stock. Ensures the purging of obsolete or slow moving parts from inventory based on established criteria. Monitors the placement of items in the stockroom to ensure proper storing for safety, maximum space utilization, easy access and identification. Ensures life limited (shelf life) items are appropriately identified and are removed from stock when expiration date is reached. Maintains a system of bar coding parts, supplies and encoding inventory information for updating the inventory and management information system database to ensure accurate parts and supplies information. Reviews and ensures accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders. Checks inventory stock bins for part number match, quantity, and cleanliness. Ensures the parts, supplies and materials are rotated on a first in first out basis by a predefined lot number. Keeps chemical lockers and room clean and organized. Assumes responsibility for effectively and efficiently supplying production areas and departments with a quality product. Assumes responsibility for safe and clean operations. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school education or equivalent 2+ years of experience in a related position dealing with inventory.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Additional related education and/or training.
SUCCESS FACTORS/JOB COMPETENCIES
: Understanding of department operations and standards. Knowledge of safety standards and required product storage temperatures. Ability to use a pallet jack, utility knife, mobile shelving, carts, 10 key, and calculator. Ability to perform quality inventory management. Well organized with strong planning skills. Attention to detail. Quality orientation. Able to organize multiple projects. Strong problem solving abilities. Computer skills. Must be able to read, write and speak Standard English for routine business correspondence and for producing work products. Must be able to adhere to all established safety policies, processes and procedures.
