Shipping/Receiving Location:
Salt Lake City UT The Lead Material Handler-Receiving oversees and completes receipts for inbound materials, ensures that containers of raw material lots get pulled over to sampling, that materials are processed and stored efficiently, and ensures the warehouse is kept organized and clean while maintaining employee safety and quality of product. Main Duties & Responsibilities Provides direction and encouragement to Material Handlers; Provide required training to staff; Load and unload carriers; Operate forklifts and follow strict forklift safety guidelines; Oversee the receiving of components based on order of delivery and the priority list on the production schedule; Oversee the staging of components for sampling processes, and the putaways from that area; Oversee the consolidation of products on shelvesOversee the cleaning and organization of the warehouse floor as required;Process damaged goods; Oversee re-labeling of product, if needed; Fill out paperwork and forms as required; Follow and enforce GMP guidelines and processes as established in department SOPs; Follow all safety procedures; Update necessary spreadsheets; Perform other duties as deemed necessary Requirements and Skills High school diploma or GED required; Must be able to operate a forklift and obtain forklift certification; Must have detail and organization skills; Must be willing to work with computers; Must have ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure and to perform the four operations with like or common fractions to compute percent; Must work well with other departments to overcome obstacles and work towards the success of the company. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; Ability to climb ladders; Ability to stand for an extended period of time; Must be able to wear any required PPE such as scrubs, hair net, lab coat, and facemask, harness; Ability to work in area with a moderate powder substance in the air with or without a respirator; Ability to work above shoulders; Other physical requirements include frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and bi-lateral wrist movement; Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas; Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.Note:
