Job Description
Part-Time Positions Open! Job Overview We are looking for a knowledgeable, organized, and customer-first Dispensary Associate to join our growing business. This role is central to delivering an exceptional shopping experience—guiding customers through our product offerings, educating them on cannabinoid effects, and supporting strong, consistent sales results. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys talking with people, and is motivated by meeting sales goals while providing outstanding customer service. Duties Customer Interaction & Education Product Knowledge Maintain in-depth product knowledge, including cannabinoid content, serving sizes, ingredients, and expected onset/effect durations. Keep displays organized, clean, and accurately labeled with compliant signage. Monitor and restock inventory on the sales floor based on customer demand and product movement. Point-of-Sale & Release Inventory Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Coordinate the release of inventory (pickup window or designated area) while double-checking product, batch, and labeling compliance. Ask qualifying questions to understand customer needs (e.g., relaxation, sleep, focus, pain relief) and make tailored product recommendations. Confidently explain product types (edibles, tinctures, topicals, etc.), effects, usage, dosing, and compliance information. Ensure every ID is verified and that customers meet the 21+ age requirement before any transaction. Create a welcoming, judgment-free environment that encourages customers to ask questions and return. Qualifications Must be 21 years or older with a valid, government-issued ID Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming and informative experience for every visitor Comfortable learning and explaining product details, such as cannabinoids, usage methods, and effects Basic math and computer skills to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and manage inventory Ability to follow compliance protocols and handle age-restricted products with care and accuracy Reliable, punctual, and organized Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs for stocking and inventory work
