Description The Wholesale Banking Division's Associate (the "Associate") provides coverage for a specialty groups or specific products within the Wholesale Banking Division (the "Division"), including the Division's various subsidiaries, specialty lending verticals and products. In this role, the Associate will work with more senior associates and subject matter experts to support product offerings, capabilities and competencies. The Associate will develop knowledge and skills to support a wide array of products and services, and will prioritize gaining competencies and capabilities within supported. The Associate may be called upon to support revenue producing or specialty lending products and may be tasked with providing support for other Division initiatives. The Associate applies foundational, growing knowledge to support various areas, including specialty banking, strategic finance, lending and bank operations to work performed, while working in compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations. Work is varied in nature with changing priorities. Position Accountabilities Support and enhance a strong team
Assist in the implementation of the Division's strategies, either generally or specific to a product or suite of products
Support the Bank's capabilities and competencies, as they relate to capital markets activities, balance sheet growth, and revenue diversification, syndication activities, public finance lending, buy/sell, or pricing/structuring activities
Provide support for product growth, in both income and assets, while meeting budget and other key performance indicators
Assist in activities related to the growth of the Group's products, services and capabilities
Update of product white papers (internal and external), FAQs and client material
Assist in providing insight for products covered to internal stakeholders, RMs and external clients
Partner with the Finance, Credit Administration and Operations to assure efficient portfolio construction, pricing vs. risk tradeoffs, revenue diversification, and implications to the Bank as a whole
Support related merger and acquisition activities for specialty group or product covered, including due diligence and integration Organizational Relationship This position reports to a senior leader within the Wholesale Banking Division. Position Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related degree
0-3 years in middle market or corporate banking Knowledge & Skills Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting, economic and finance principles
Understanding of derivatives, capital markets foreign exchange and related topics
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and a proven history of successful client engagement
Ability to work under limited supervision and prioritize a complete variety of incoming tasks with varied deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
