Job Description

The Clothing Pricer is responsible for evaluating, sorting, and pricing donated clothing items for sale in our nonprofit thrift store. This position requires good judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to recognize quality, brands, current styles, and appropriate pricing to maximize revenue while providing value to our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sort and inspect donated clothing for quality, cleanliness, and condition. Determine appropriate pricing based on brand, style, condition, season, and market value. Identify items that should be sold at premium prices or through specialty sales. Ensure pricing is consistent with store guidelines and objectives. Tag and prepare clothing for the sales floor. Work efficiently to maintain production goals. Keep work areas organized and clean. Communicate with supervisors regarding unusual, valuable, or questionable items. Support the mission and values of the organization through positive interactions with customers, volunteers, and staff. Qualifications Previous thrift store, retail, consignment, resale, or clothing pricing experience preferred. Knowledge of clothing brands, fashion trends, and garment quality. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Preferred Skills Familiarity with online resale values and popular clothing brands. Experience working in a nonprofit or customer service environment. Ability to recognize designer, vintage, and specialty clothing items. Schedule approximately 30 hours per week between 10am-5pm, days of the week depending on organizational needs.
