Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team at One of a Kind Art Gallery as a Sales and Operations Assistant. This role involves assisting with sales, managing inventory, curating displays, and ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers in finding the perfect artwork or merchandise, providing information on artists and pieces. Learn artists and style of pieces in the collection in order to answer guest questions Monitor and report inventory levels, assist with restocking and organizing merchandise. Collaborate with the curatorial team to design and install captivating displays that showcase our collection effectively. Maintain the cleanliness and visual appeal of the gallery space. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. The gallery has a well established system. All team members follow written procedures and checklists for tasks. A successful candidate will be comfortable reading the task list, completing the task while working alone, and marking it complete for the rest of the team to understand what still needs to be done. Handle inquiries via phone, email, and in-person with professionalism and enthusiasm. A successful candidate will be comfortable making eye contact with customers, being attentive to artists and work diligently. We remind team members to turn their phones back on after they complete a scheduled shift. Foster a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for visitors, offering assistance and information as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or a related field required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. Passion for art and a desire to share that passion with others. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
