Monday Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm (anticipated, but flexible)

$21.30 - 23 / hr (DOE) Reports to: Kitchen Managers & Head of ProductPosition OverviewKitchen & Market is seeking a reliable, organized, and hardworking Product Receiver to support our commissary kitchen operations in SoDo. This role is responsible for receiving and organizing all incoming products, packaging, and supplies while maintaining accurate inventory systems across coolers, freezers, dry storage areas, and storage containers.

This is a hands-on position requiring physical movement throughout the day, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer environments while helping maintain smooth daily kitchen operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesReceiving & Inventory (70 80% of work hours)Receive and verify incoming deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition.

Organize and store products, packaging, and supplies in designated cooler, freezer, dry storage areas, and storage containers.

Maintain clear, clean, and efficient storage and operational systems throughout the commissary receiving bay.

Operate pallet jacks and safely move products throughout the facility.

Label and date all incoming products and maintain FIFO (first-in, first-out) procedures.

Monitor freezer and dry storage inventory levels and communicate shortages or discrepancies to leadership.

Scan for expired, damaged, or spoiled products and maintain weekly shrink logs/charts.

Ensure all products are properly rotated and stored according to food safety standards.

Support inventory counts and tracking processes as needed.

Operations Support (20 30% of work hours)Assist kitchen operations by packing products for delivery to all 5 Kitchen & Market stores as needed.

Work collaboratively with kitchen and production teams to ensure operational efficiency.

Support daily operational flow and communicate updates to kitchen leadership.

Assist kitchen operations by organizing and packing products for delivery to all Kitchen & Market store locations when needed.

Support holiday meal kit operations, including staging, organizing, and transferring meal kits during high-volume seasonal periods.

Organize and maintain racks designated for home delivery orders and meal kit pickup fulfillment.

Help load and prepare the commissary delivery vehicles for daily routes and transfers when needed.

Occasionally assist with product pickups, inter-store transfers, and deliveries as needed.

Comfortably and safely operate a Mercedes Sprinter van on an occasional basis when business needs require.

Work collaboratively with kitchen and production teams to ensure smooth daily operations and efficient workflow.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards throughout all receiving, storage, and operational areas.

Communicate inventory, operational, and delivery updates to kitchen leadership as needed.

During slower operational periods, team members may be assigned deep cleaning tasks throughout the commissary kitchen, storage areas, coolers, freezers, and receiving spaces. Candidates should be comfortable supporting these cleaning and organizational projects as part of maintaining overall cleanliness, safety, and operational standards. QualificationsPrevious receiving, warehouse, grocery, commissary, or inventory experience preferred.

Comfortable performing physical labor throughout the shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.

Experience operating pallet jacks (optional).Comfortable working in walk-in coolers and freezers (appropriate gear provided).Strong organizational skills, and attention to detailReliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Additional QualificationsValid driver s license with a clean driving record preferred.

Comfortable driving a cargo van, including a Mercedes Sprinter, on an occasional basis.

Ability to support increased operational demands during holiday seasons.
