Charleston, WV Position Summary:
The Donation & Sorting Associate supports the daily operations of Heart to Home by receiving, organizing, sorting, and preparing donated items for distribution, resale, or community support initiatives. This role helps maintain an organized, welcoming, and efficient donation environment while providing excellent customer service to donors, volunteers, and community members.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling to stock shelves and organize merchandise. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items and donations up to 40-50 pounds. Ability to move and arrange furniture or large donated items with assistance as needed.
Physical Requirements:
This position works in donation intake, storage, retail, and warehouse-style environments. The role may involve frequent interaction with donors, volunteers, and community members.
