Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Biorepository Associate to join IQVIA's laboratory business at Valencia, CA.
Shift:
Monday
  • Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Summary As a Senior Biorepository Associate, you will oversee the storage, shipment, and inventory of clinical specimens while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will also guide entry-level staff and support equipment maintenance to uphold quality and safety standards. What You'll Be Doing Manage shipment and storage of clinical samples, ensuring accurate identification, sorting, and labeling Maintain freezers and inventory systems to support specimen management Monitor scheduled and ad hoc requests to ensure timely completion Guide and mentor entry-level staff on departmental procedures and onboarding Identify and mitigate risks that may impact client deliverables Respond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions as needed Assist in reviewing and developing specimen management procedures and techniques Participate in cross-functional projects and implement process improvements What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or related field) Minimum 1 year of related laboratory or biorepository experience Proficiency with laboratory techniques such as pipetting, sample handling, and inventory management Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; ability to learn laboratory information systems Effective communication and mentoring skills; ability to collaborate across teams and projects For Marietta and Valencia positions 100-130: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
