Job Description

Lifeloc Technologies is a leader in the design and manufacture of breath alcohol testing devices for law enforcement and workplace safety. Building on this foundation, Lifeloc is expanding into next-generation drug detection technologies, including SpinDetect™, a rapid, point-of-care microfluidic diagnostic platform designed to deliver fast, reliable results across multiple sample types. Position Summary The Cleanroom Technician will support the development and manufacturing of SpinDetect™, a centrifugal microfluidic diagnostic platform. This role focuses on the assembly of microfluidic discs, reagent preparation, and execution of quality processes in a controlled cleanroom environment. The technician will play a critical role in advancing assay validation, reagent consistency, and manufacturing readiness as the product progresses toward verification and commercialization. Key Responsibilities Assemble SpinDetect™ microfluidic discs and subcomponents, including precision handling of small-scale features and materials Perform reagent generation, preparation, and loading for microfluidic assays (e.g.,antibody/microbead-based reagents) Operate and support dispensing equipment (e.g., BioDot systems) for reagent application Maintain strict cleanroom protocols, including contamination control, gowning, and workspace organization Execute QC and QA testing on discs, reagents, and intermediate builds Accurately document all manufacturing and testing activities Support process validation and verification activities Assist in troubleshooting assembly and reagent inconsistencies Manage materials, inventory, and lot traceability Required Qualifications 6-12 months of experience in a cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environment Experience with micro-assembly or precision component handling Exposure to reagent preparation or lab work preferred Understanding of cleanroom standards and contamination control Experience or familiarity with QC/QA testing and documentation Strong record-keeping and attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to follow precise, repeatable processes Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (including marijuana) Education Associate's degree in a relevant field required; Bachelor's preferred Equivalent combination of education and experience considered Strong Associate's + hands-on experience encouraged Preferred Qualifications Experience with microfluidics or diagnostic assay systems Familiarity with antibody-based or bead-based detection systems Experience with automated dispensing systems (e.g., BioDot) Knowledge of ISO 13485, GMP, or regulated environments Key Competencies Detail-oriented with strong manual dexterity Methodical and process-driven mindset Ability to work independently Strong communication and collaboration skills Problem-solving mindset Work Environment Controlled cleanroom environment (full gowning required) Handling small, delicate components and reagents May require standing for extended periods:
