Job Description
Job description We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic faculty member to teach Surgical Technology Courses in our Surgical Technology program. This is a part-time, professional position reporting directly to the Program Director. The primary responsibility will be to teach Surgical Technology courses. The typical teaching load is one or two courses each term (M - Th 9:00 am - 2:00 pm). Applicants will also be expected to provide academic advising to students, assist the program director and participate in department training, meetings and graduation. Certification in Surgical Technology Required through NBSTSA An Associate of Science (A.S.) or Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Surgical Technology or a Bachelor Degree in any subject. At least five years of experience in the field of Surgical Technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Highly organized, motivated and results driven Prior teaching experience preferred Fortis College - Orange Park provides educational programs that deliver real-life career skills in high demand occupations that lead to employment upon graduation and a lifetime of professional growth.
