Marine Technology Systems Sales Associate HWH Electronics, Corp Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork Business development Driver's License Swimming Full Job Description Job Summary Under the direction of a Sales Management Team, the Sales Associate will learn marine technology integration sales processes and procedures to generate and increase sales to maximize returns for the company. This encompasses a customer relationship-based approach for unique, individualized system design for each client resulting in superior customer satisfaction. Core & Essential Functions Meet with prospective clients to assess individual boating style and geographic areas of travel. Demonstrate products and services to assist in selection best suited for the client's application. With support of technical team leaders, design and estimate the recommended system packages. Utilizing a relationship-based approach, promote, sell and secure system orders. Provide customer service follow up to maintain long-standing client relationship. Duties & Responsibilities Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with existing and prospective clients to generate new business. Telephone calls, e-mail communication and in-person visits with existing and prospective clients. Develop clear and effectively written project proposals with thorough project scope, including preparation of technology interface diagrams using provided software. Coordinate sales & marketing efforts with management, technical and administrative team. Participate in Boat Shows / Customer Training Functions / Marketing Events & Campaigns. Collaborate with colleagues for projects as needed. Remain apprised of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities and promotional trends. Provide management with oral and written reports on client needs, issues, interests, competitive activities, industry trends and potential for new products and services. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills Demonstrate motivated behavior - Be a good listener and ask questions. Technology literate (position involves marine specific electronic equipment features and operation - training will be provided as needed). Basic level understanding of DC & AC Electrical Systems. Boating experience and knowledge of boating terms (power and sail). Strong office and team communication skills (verbal, electronic and written). Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel, Visio), Adobe Acrobat (Other CAD Skills, a plus). Social media marketing competency. Fiscal Responsibilities Plan and organize personal strategy to meet / exceed measurable sales goals. Legible preparation of reports. Extent of Public Contact Significant interaction with boat owners, vendors and co-workers. Physical Demands Lifting, bending, stretching, climbing, hoisting (typically between 20 and 70 pounds) as needed. Must be able to swim, access small crawl spaces, have no fear of height and not subject to seasickness. Working Conditions and Environment Family / Team Oriented Organization. Typical work hours (8:00 to 4:30 Monday - Friday) punctuality expected. Overtime and travel required as needed. Characteristics Strict attention to detail and strong interest in innovation. Exhibits strong work ethical conduct, honesty & integrity. Ability to set priorities, work independently & effectively. Other Accountable and willing to take ownership of challenges and provide options for solutions. Current driver's license - insurable to drive company vehicles with clean record. Candidate will be required to successfully complete industry/manufacturer training (hands-on, in class and on-line) - provided in the normal course of employment.
