This role is expected to model our Leadership Behaviors—Integrity & Compliance, Customer Focus, Collaboration, Courage, Team Empowerment, and Accountability & Results—in all aspects of work Repligen is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Bioprocess Sales Specialist whose primary role will be to sell an expanding portfolio of highly differentiable Single Use Fluid Management and Fluid Transfer Systems. The product portfolio consists of both "Standard Component Products" for end user integration at their facilities as well as complete Repligen designed and built Single Use Custom Flow Paths and products that address critical fluid management practices in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process. The Bioprocess Sales Specialist, Fluid Management, would predominantly support unit process operations in various process steps containing filtration and chromatography column technology as well as vessel to vessel fluid transfer across a full range of molecules such as monoclonal antibodies, vaccines and cell and gene therapy. The Bioprocess Sales Specialist, Fluid Management, would support customers in the designated New England territory. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of motivation to succeed, highly developed sales and territory management skill sets in the Bioprocessing sector and is now looking for the next challenge at a rapidly evolving and innovative bioprocessing-focused life sciences company. Reporting to the Fluid Management Director of Global Sales, this will be a home office-based role. 50% travel time is expected in the region. Understand, develop and position Repligen products into all applications of Fluid Management and fluid transfer promoting and selling a portfolio of Single Use custom designed Flow Paths and a catalogue of unique integration components while being able to effectively articulate the Repligen value proposition. Define, develop, manage, and rationalize a regional go to market strategy that balances multiple channel options that includes Direct Repligen sales reps as well as potentially local distributors and or manufacturers reps. Develop and execute a regional management plan in close collaboration with Global Sales Director and the Global BSS Teams. Develop customized and modular solutions for customers in upstream and downstream bioprocessing Review and support custom flow path design preparation and prepare proposals based on customer requirements Conduct sales negotiations with technical and procurement departments Develop new target accounts across the territory in conjunction with a team of account managers Develop and support customers as they move through the clinical pipeline from lab-scale to full process scale solutions Provide accurate and timely sales reporting and forecasting with a market leading CRM tool Maintain contact with key bioprocessing infrastructure partners and identify new sales and business opportunities Interface with Business and Market Development to ensure that appropriate product, market and competitive information is shared in an accurate and timely manner Provide Manufacturing and QA/QC operations with timely information to support forecasting, customer complaint handling, and facility audits Execute all aspects of field sales activity to include customer visits, technical presentations, quote preparation and negotiations Attend, manage and follow up on trade show activities Education and/or
Work Experience Requirements:
  • A minimum of a BEng or a BSc degree in Biochemical Engineering or equivalent
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Deep knowledge of Custom Designed Single Use technologies for different unit operations including chromatography and filtration is required.
  • A strong understanding of Chromatography and/or Filtration is highly beneficial.
  • Proven successful sales track record and key account management experience.
  • Proven ability to build mutually beneficial, personable, trusting relationships with customers, suppliers and partners.

Focused on cost and process efficiencies, we deliver innovative technologies and solutions that help set new standards in bioprocessing. The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $160,000- $190,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
