life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, Maryland, Columbia 6708 Alexander Bell Drive (Show on map) Apr 27, 2026 Our Opening and Your Responsibilities As our Account Manager for Metter Toledo AutoChem, you will sell high-end capital equipment (hardware and software) in the chemical R D space within the pharmaceutical and chemical industries. Our reactor platform and PAT (process analytical technology) in combination with software for data management and modeling provides the solution for the challenges our prospects and customer experience on a daily basis.
Key responsibilities include:
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions using the AutoChem product line. Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve or exceed sales targets. Collaborate with technical teams to conduct demonstrations and feasibility tests. Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure excellent service and support. Continuously enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and industry expertise. Maintain accurate CRM records, provide regular sales forecasts, and report progress. Manage a multi-state territory with frequent travel (50-75%) to customer sites. Support sales management with special projects as needed. What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field required; Master's preferred. 3-5 years technical sales experience selling capital equipment into the pharmaceutical and/or chemical industries preferred. Skilled in consultative and value selling. Knowledge of chemical R D (process chemistry, development, safety, scale-up) is a plus. Highly motivated, reliable, with strong work ethic. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong team collaboration and organizational abilities. SAP experience preferred.
