Job Description:
Overview We are seeking a Junior Research Scientist for a short-term contract opportunity supporting R D and operations-focused initiatives. This role will contribute to projects involving data review, process support, system transitions, and experimental design within a manufacturing-adjacent environment. This position is well-suited for an early-career professional or recent graduate (0-2 years of experience) with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and an interest in applying scientific thinking to real-world operational challenges. Key Responsibilities Data Review & Process Support Support investigation and resolution of discrepancies within internal materials or product data systems Work with cross-functional teams to identify and correct inconsistencies in structured data sets Assist in improving data accuracy and supporting downstream stakeholders System Transition & Data Mapping Assist with migration of information between systems and tools Help ensure accurate mapping of key identifiers and data fields during transfer processes Perform basic auditing of transferred data for consistency and completeness Experimental Support (DoE / Process Studies) Support the design and execution of small-scale experiments related to blending or mixing processes Contribute to evaluation of process parameters and potential optimization opportunities Assist with documentation and analysis of experimental outcomes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, or analytical discipline 0-2 years of relevant experience (recent graduates encouraged) Exposure to manufacturing, lab, or regulated environments a plus (but not required) Familiarity with basic experimental design concepts (DoE preferred) Strong analytical thinking and comfort working with structured data Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills
