Description We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of a Technical Failure Analysis Expert. The Technical Expert, Failure Analysis, plays a critical role in supporting warranty validation, driving root cause investigations, and maintaining high technical standards across inspection and reporting processes. In this role, you will lead detailed failure analyses for a wide range of components, develop and uphold inspection SOPs, and contribute essential insights to internal teams, suppliers, and audits. You'll combine hands-on technical investigation with cross functional communication to ensure accurate claim validation, strong supplier accountability, and effective problem resolution. This opportunity is open to individuals located in the New Holland, PA and surrounding areas. Additionally, the role requires access to reliable internet and the ability to manage all responsibilities from a home office. The project hours of operations will be Monday - Friday, in which candidate must be available to work an 8-hour shift between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Eastern Time. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis on failed warranty parts, including hoses, hydraulics, drivetrain components, and engine parts.
Perform metallurgical lab activities such as hardness testing and microscopy.
Define and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for first level inspections.
Utilize supplier specific testing equipment to perform detailed component analysis. Deliverables or Project Scope Produce preliminary technical analysis reports to support warranty claims.
Complete and document failure analysis for metal and nonmetal parts, including formal root cause reporting.
Create technical reports used for supplier rejection challenges and warranty recovery operations.
Support audits by providing technical expertise and inspection related documentation. Collaboration Tools or Platforms WIT Tool for addressing dealer inquiries, reversals, and part return questions
Client systems such as telematics, parts diagrams, and parts specifications to validate failure modes and claims
Internal cross functional meetings for technical investigations and root cause analysis.
Calibration and lab management systems used in metallurgical testing workflows. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience
Advanced technical expertise in failure analysis and root cause investigation Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting audits or contributing technical documentation for audit related activities.
Forklift certification
Degree in Materials Engineering or 5 years relative experience
Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and producing technical reports
Strong communication skills to support cross functional collaboration
Demonstrated focus on safety in technical environments
