Sheridan Ross - Attorneys at Innovation The Summer Associate Experience Sheridan Ross is seeking 2L law students with a strong interest in intellectual property to join our 8-10 week Summer Associate Program in 2027. Summer associates are sponsored by one of our intellectual property practice groups, focusing on either patent prosecution or patent litigation . As a summer associate, you will get hands-on experience and meaningful mentorship while working closely with attorneys and technical specialists. This is a chance to build a strong foundation in patent law, develop practical skills, and get to know what practicing IP law is really like.

Mentorship from experienced IP attorneys Substantive project work related to patent prosecution or litigation Exposure to multiple practice areas within the firm Opportunities to attend client meetings Participation in firm collaboration, training, and social events A supportive environment focused on learning, growth, and connection
Qualifications Required:
Eligibility to sit for the USPTO Patent Bar Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment Technical degree in one of the following:
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Preferred:
Prior industry or engineering work experience is a plus

Hybrid with in-person participation at our Denver office

8-10 weeks
