Shift Pay Range:
$80,000
  • $120,000 per year (based on experience and qualifications).

Position Summary The Technical Sales Representative
  • General Industrial is responsible for representing the company in its effort in obtaining new business, maintaining current business, and providing technical support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prospect, sell and service industrial paint coatings. Recognize sales opportunities when providing service work and conversely recognize opportunities for technical support when prospecting customers. Provide technical education and solutions in the field to customers regarding all aspects of company products. Provide account maintenance for current customers including contract negotiations. Forecast sales and price adjustments. Work with the development team to ensure technical skills are current with regards to existing products and future products in consideration. Report all initiatives to supervisor and provide status updates on a regular basis. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements Education level preferred:
bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Degree is preferred to be in a Science related field such as Chemistry or Business. Experience level preferred: At least three years of technical sales experience in a chemical coatings' environment. Skills and Abilities Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office
  • Word, Excel, Outlook), Concur, ERP system, and other office machinery.
Leadership capabilities with the ability to lead by example. Exemplify core values, i.e., Integrity, Loyalty, Passion, Commitment, and Respect. Works well in a team environment. Excellent team building and communications skills. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel over 50% of the time. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Physical Demands Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly in a manufacturing or operational setting. Frequently required to stand, walk, and move throughout the work area. Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, and control objects, tools, or equipment. Required to sit, balance, stoop, and occasionally reach above shoulder level. Occasional operation of machinery using foot controls May be required to climb, balance, and reach overhead as part of job duties. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 65 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Safety shoes, safety glasses, and flame-retardant uniforms or lab coats are required in production areas.
