Job Description Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration seeks a skilled and experienced priestly leader with gifts in leadership, preaching, and teaching as our next Senior Associate Rector. The Senior Associate is a "second chair" leader alongside the Rector, sharing in oversight of staff, participating in crafting and implementing vision, and practicing pastoral ministry to a thriving congregation of 1,200 members. Transfiguration is a large, dynamic, and inclusive church located in far north Dallas, and our mission is to seek and serve Christ in all persons. The position is full-time and reports directly to the Rector. Priests with 3+ years of ordination are invited to apply, with favor given to those who have served on the staff of a large congregational system. Transfiguration is simultaneously recruiting an Associate Rector to join the staff. These two new clergy will begin together at an exciting moment in the life of our church, as we conduct a strategic planning process and set bold goals for the next five years. The specific roles and responsibilities attached to each new clergy position, including the Senior Associate, will be discerned through this search process.
