Job Description

  • DESCRIPTION
  • The
  • Flex Team Technician - Bakery,
  • is a high-performance, field-based role focused on operational excellence across multiple sites. This position requires technical precision, autonomous execution, and measurable impact. Responsibilities include audits, issue resolution, equipment installation, and process engineering support to drive efficiency and reliability.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES
  • +
Operational Audits:
Conduct structured audits of site operations and equipment; deliver compliance reports with actionable recommendations. +
Issue Triage & Resolution:
Rapidly assess and resolve technical issues; escalate systemic problems with root cause analysis. +
Equipment Installation & Configuration:
Install and upgrade hardware; validate performance and integration. +
Process Engineering Support:
Identify inefficiencies; collaborate with engineering and operations teams to pilot and implement improvements. +
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate logs of activities, issues and resolutions; submit weekly KPI-based summaries. +
Cross-Site Support:
Provide coverage across multiple markets; adapt to varying conditions and team dynamics.
  • Technical Skills - Baking & Cake Decorating
  • + •Cake Decorating experience required•+
Recipe Execution:
Accurately follows specs for breads, pastries, cookies, and cakes, for size and consistency. +
Temperature Control:
Manages oven settings, baking times, and cooling processes to ensure correct spec execution. +
Icing Techniques:
Proficient in icing applications. +
Piping Skills:
Uses piping bags and tips to create borders, flowers, lettering, and intricate designs per spec sheet. +
Food Safety & Sanitation:
Maintains hygienic workspaces and handles ingredients safely. +
Allergen Awareness:
Understands common allergens. +
Time Management:
Use of baking and decorating timelines to meet deadlines, and member custom orders. +
Customer Collaboration:
Communicates with clients to understand their vision and deliver personalized results.
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • + High School Diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
+ Minimum 2+ years technical or operational experience in food service, retail, or process engineering preferred. + Ability to lift up to 30 lbs; stand/walk for extended periods. + Valid driver's license; ability to drive long distances. + Available for occasional overnight travel, if needed + Must be available for occasional weekend work (Demos and Food Shows). + Comfortable working in extremely cold conditions; refrigerated/freezer environments; PPE provided. + Effective communication skills; bilingual (English + second language) preferred. + Must be at least 21 years old for travel credentialing requirements. + Vision sufficient to operate standard tools and equipment.
