Job Description

Department Telecommunications Job Summary Answers high volume of calls and transfers to the correct telephone extensions while prioritizing medical emergency Codes and STATS. Follows procedure to alert appropriate departments and authorities. Maintains on-calls statistics for multiple departments. Places outbound calls. Provides information (room #s, in house telephone numbers, hospital information, etc.) to customers. Overhead pages approved announcement. Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer previous computer skills, switchboard or receptionist experience.
  • Prefer demonstrated basic typing skills.
  • Prefer demonstrated basic understanding of medical terminology.
  • Prefer demonstrated practical and technical knowledge relevant to the position.
  • Prefer demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Prefer demonstrated ability to coordinate a multitude of tasks.
Preferred Education HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate Shift is 6:30am
  • 2:30pm
  • This position will be scheduled to work on weekends (Sat & Sun).
Days off will be scheduled on week days. Position is located in Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
