Sample Receiving/Customer Service for Water Testing Laboratory

Job description As a Sample Receiving/Customer Service Technician, you will provide friendly, responsive service to customers in person and by phone. In this role, you will greet clients, receive samples in accordance with laboratory procedures, process payments, and accurately enter sample information into the laboratory database. Job Duties Provide friendly, helpful customer service to clients in person and over the phone. Receive client samples and paperwork, and accurately enter sample information into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Record sample observations, including temperature, pH, and holding times, upon receipt at the laboratory. Organize samples for laboratory analysis. Pack and prepare samples for shipping utilizing shipping software. Prepare sample kits for analytical testing. Support courier and field staff as needed, including driving a company vehicle to pick up samples or collect water samples at private residences. We provide in-house laboratory testing for drinking water, wastewater, surface water, and groundwater. College experience (2-year or 4-year degree) preferred. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and will use both hands to perform required functions of the job. Customer service experience and/or experience with water testing, water treatment, or wells is a bonus, but not required.
