Shop Float/Shop Help Job Description We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to operate machinery for cutting bar stock, ensuring a seamless workflow for our machinists. This role is vital in maintaining production efficiency and requires attention to detail and planning skills. Responsibilities Operate machinery to cut bar stock for machinists. Read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch. Use work order sheets to process and prioritize tasks. Understand and manage urgency and planning to keep machinists supplied. Essential Skills Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16 of an inch. Experience in machine operation, preferably with bandsaw, drill press, and forklift. General labor skills including blueprint reading. Additional Skills & Qualifications CNC operating experience or 2-3 years of experience in a metal fabrication shop. Experience with saws, drill press, cutting torches, or similar equipment. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs from pallet to table. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Villard, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.85 - $21.85/hr.
