School-age Teacher

Lewis Center KinderCare | Lewis Center, Ohio At KinderCare Learning Companies, we believe learning continues far beyond the school day. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and engaging School-Age Teacher to join our team at our Lewis Center location and help create a fun, safe, and supportive environment for children before and after school, during school breaks, and throughout the summer. As a School-Age Teacher, you'll help children build confidence, friendships, creativity, and independence through hands-on activities, games, homework support, and enrichment opportunities. What You'll Do Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for school-age children Lead fun and age-appropriate activities including games, STEM projects, art, outdoor play, and group activities Support homework time and encourage positive learning habits Build strong relationships with children, families, and team members Supervise children during transitions, activities, and outdoor play Maintain classroom organization and ensure health and safety standards are followed Partner with center leadership to support a positive and inclusive culture Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Experience working with school-age children preferred Early Childhood Education coursework or experience is a plus Must meet Ohio child care licensing requirements Strong communication and teamwork skills Positive attitude and passion for working with children Why Join KinderCare?
