A rewarding opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support students in a school-based setting near Magnolia, TX. Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred, but not required Familiarity with IEP documentation and participation in multidisciplinary meetings Ability to implement student-specific therapeutic interventions as directed by an Occupational Therapist Strong communication and organizational skills Flexible, adaptable, and eager to work with diverse student populations Commitment to adhering to ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Support students' development of fine and gross motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills Contribute to assessment and goal setting for students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to integrate therapy strategies within classroom routines Accurately maintain documentation and progress records in compliance with school and district policies Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
