Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an opportunity to make a positive impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting school-aged students. This contract position is ideal for professionals seeking a rewarding role within an educational environment. You'll spend three days per week engaging with a manageable caseload of around 45 students, ensuring targeted, effective therapy in a supportive school setting.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Active UT Professional License for Occupational Therapy Assistants required Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred Knowledge of creating and implementing therapy plans in collaboration with OTs Strong communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while documenting progress accurately
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed OT Deliver therapeutic interventions to support students with varying needs Collaborate with IEP teams, families, and teachers to align services with educational goals Maintain detailed records of student progress and ensure confidentiality Travel to a single assigned school near West Valley City, working consistent hours (21.75 per week, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm, three days a week) Foster a positive environment that encourages student independence and participation
