This contract position focuses on supporting young learners in an educational setting, located near Porterville, CA. The part-time schedule offers two days per week, making it ideal for those who seek flexibility while maintaining a positive impact on the community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience working in school-based settings is highly valued Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families Strong communication and organizational skills Must hold (or be eligible for) a valid state license as required
Your Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Assist in implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills needed for classroom success Maintain accurate documentation of progress and attend team meetings as needed Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to collaborative problem-solving efforts
